Vote “YES” on Constitutional Amendment 1 (the Permanent School Fund Distribution)

Indivisible Twin Cities strongly endorses Constitutional Amendment 1 (Permanent School Fund Distribution amendment). Our schools badly need additional funding. This amendment, which was passed by the legislature unanimously in the spring, would send thousands of additional dollars to every school district in the state without raising any taxes.

Minnesota’s 168-year-old fund is now worth $2.3 billion, and yet because of an outdated rule, distributions to our schools remain limited. The amendment would reformulate how the money is distributed and give our schools much-needed relief.

This is important: Failure to vote “Yes” counts as a “No” vote. Vote “Yes” for Constitutional Amendment 1.

Submit Comments on New EDGAR Revisions

The courts have, at least for now, blocked the OMB rule allowing political appointees to decide what research and college programs get funding, but that has not stopped the Department of Education from finding a new way to control federal funds.
