Indivisible Twin Cities, a local chapter of national Indivisible, is a grassroots group of volunteers dedicated to increasing civic engagement and education on progressive policies at the city, state and national level. We encourage civic engagement by organizing informative actions and events to spotlight issues and candidates who support our values of strengthening our democracy and defeating the MAGA authoritarian agenda.
TOGETHER WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Who we are
Indivisible Twin Cities (ITC) is group of metro area neighbors from Minneapolis/St. Paul and surrounding first-ring suburbs. You’re invited to join us as we work toward a just, equitable, thriving, and inclusive community, state and country.
WANT TO HELP RESIST THE EXTREMIST MAGA AGENDA?
The 2024 election wasn’t what anyone expected, but we’re ready to protect democracy, decency, and equality together. AGAIN.
Sign up for our action newsletters, our rapid response Pledge of Resistance text initiative, and volunteer with a community of likeminded neighbors ready to get to work.
TEXT the word PLEDGE to 30319
In the event of the Trump regime sending troops into the Twin Cities, or other equally severe assaults on our democracy by the administration, text the word PLEDGE to 30319 to join our Pledge of Resistance Rapid Response texting initiative.
how to get involved
-

Sometimes the easiest thing to do is to simply show up. Be it a rally, a speaker event, writing postcards to our reps and more, we organize informative, fun and easy ways to make our voices heard. Attend an event and get to know your neighbors.
-

You can be as active as your own time permits. Whether it’s helping to organize speaker events, designing banners for a rally, researching upcoming legislation, writing letters to the editor and more, every volunteer effort can make a difference in our community.
-

Our representatives need to hear from us! In order to hold our elected representative accountable, we create easy Calls to Action (CTA) supporting our legislative goals at the federal, state, and local level. Make your voice heard by clicking our CTA link below.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned over the years: Democracy is for the people who get out and vote! Our Democracy Tool Kit page has everything you need to know about voting in Minnesota: how to register, where to vote, and so much more. Check it out!

Wed, April 22, 10-11am CT
Join us on Earth Day at the Minnesota State Capitol for a morning rally celebrating the movement to protect Minnesota’s water, wilderness, and wild places. We’ll hear from advocates and community leaders who are working on the frontlines of some of the most important environmental fights in the state — and we’ll make some noise together.
This is a moment to connect, to uplift the voices doing this work every day, and to remind our elected officials that Minnesotans are paying attention. Free and open to the public.
-

Wed, April 22, 1:30-3PM CT
Join us on the afternoon of Earth Day for a Community Hearing on Hyperscale Data Centers in the Capitol Rotunda, featuring testimony from impacted constituents, concerned residents, and policy experts calling on lawmakers to take immediate action before session concludes. We will be wearing the color RED! Feel free to bring Signs/Banners (without sticks per Capitol rules) and don’t forget to leave time for parking & Capitol Security screening!

Tuesday, April 28, 6:30-7:30 PM CT
Join friends and neighbors and make your voices heard during the Indivisible Twin Cities Action Hour!
We meet online twice a month to contact our elected officials on upcoming legislative priorities and urgent Calls to Action. We provide: • Researched topics on key issues • Ready-to-use scripts for calls or emails • Quick links to find your representative' contact info • A fun and easy way to make your voice heard at the Capitol
Invite a friend, and join us for these fast, popular and effective Action Hours!

Thurs, May 7, 6-8 PM CT
Join us at Indivisible Twin Cities' first in-person member meeting of the year!
This get-together, at a convenient Minneapolis location, gives all of us a chance to connect with more ITC people and hear about new ways to get engaged.
Whether you just joined Indivisible Twin Cities or have been involved for years, this gathering is open to all of us. We'll have a chance to socialize and find out about varied ways to make a difference -- from joining one of our Action Teams, volunteering for a new event, or helping ITC as we kickoff this crucial election season, when many of us will volunteer on campaigns, or sign up to work as election judges or democracy defenders.
Our Impact in the Twin Cities
Indivisible Twin Cities is an all-volunteer run organization. We rely on donations to cover expenses like website hosting, stamps and other essentials to keep the wheels turning. Please consider a donation today so we can keep making a difference together.
