The MN Secretary of State’s website, mnvotes.gov is THE spot for all trustworthy voting and election information. it includes links to voter registration, what’s on your ballot, voting locations, other ways to vote, etc.
Key Election Dates in 2026
· September 18: Start of vote by mail or in-person absentee for Election Day
· October 16: Start of early in-person voting
· November 3: Election day

ITC ENDORSEMENTS

ITC endorses Peggy Flanagan for U.S. Senator. Flanagan has served Minnesotans as a Representative in the Minnesota House, and as Lieutenant Governor. And, based on her prior experience and proposals, would do a great job representing Minnesota in the U.S. Senate.
Flanagan’s mantra is “the many over the money,” which means that she will fight for regular Minnesotans, not rich billionaire donors. Since Trump was reelected, the Republican-led Senate has confirmed a billionaire cabinet, and supported Trump on nearly every issue -including an illegal, never-ending war, illegal tariffs, cuts to health care, and billionaire tax cuts. Minnesotans have been feeling the pain, experiencing an affordability and health care crisis.
Flanagan will fight for Minnesotans in the U.S. Senate. She has said health care is a “human right” that she will champion, and supports a single-payer system. She will vote to end the Iran War, Trump’s illegal tariffs, and Republicans’ mass deportation policy, including dismantling ICE.
In standing up for Minnesotans during Operation Metro Surge, Flanagan said “I am fighting to avenge Minnesotans.” ITC believes Minnesota needs a fighter in Washington, and endorses Flanagan for the U.S. Senate.

A fundamental pillar that guides Indivisible Twin Cities (ITC) is electing people who understand the stakes our nation faces and are willing to fight for democracy and against authoritarianism. ITC is making endorsements for the 2026 primaries and general election, selecting candidates who will strengthen our democracy and work to defeat the authoritarian regime, and also have a vision for a future where everyone can thrive.
Indivisible Twin Cities is endorsing Attorney General Keith Ellison for re-election. Keith Ellison has shown repeatedly during his two terms in office that he is a stalwart defender of our democracy and vigorous champion for Minnesotans' rights.
Attorney General Ellison has filed https://www.ag.state.mn.us/Rule-Of-Law/Litigation/ 61 challenges against the federal government’s overreach, challenging the President's attacks on the Constitution and rule of law, including: birthright citizenship, defunding or dismantling Centers for Disease Control, Department of Education, National Institutes of Health, Head Start and SNAP. Attorney General Ellison has also challenged the legality of Operation Metro Surge and defended Twin Cities' and state investigations of the shootings of Renee Good, Alex Pretti and Julio Sosa-Celis. Thanks to the efforts of Ellison and other AGs, courts have ruled the federal government must release frozen FEMA and Americorps funds and begin repaying the emergency tariffs it collected.
We believe Attorney General Keith Ellison has demonstrated how vigorously he stands up for Minnesotans' rights and will continue defending democracy if elected again in November.

Indivisible Twin Cities is endorsing Secretary of State Steve Simon for re-election. Steve Simon has shown repeatedly during his three terms in office that he is a stalwart defender of our democracy and vigorous champion for Minnesotans' rights.
Secretary of State Simon states his mission simply: Protect the freedom to vote. As Minnesota's chief elections official since 2015, Secretary of State Simon works to safeguard elections and he has stood firm against President Trump's attempts to grab Minnesota voter records. In September, Attorney General Ellison and Secretary Simon challenged the federal government's attempts to take Minnesota's voter rolls, which are protected under data privacy law. The case is ongoing.
Secretary of State Simon has worked relentlessly to make sure Minnesotans understand the facts about elections and ensure all eligible Minnesotans can cast their ballots, either in person or by mail. As a state legislator, Simon sponsored two key election laws: Online voting registration and "No Excuses" Absentee Voting, which allows eligible Minnesotans to vote from home if they choose. In the last presidential election, no state had high voter turnout than Minnesota.
We believe Secretary of State Steve Simon has demonstrated how vigorously he stands up for Minnesotans' rights and will continue defending democracy if elected again in November.

ITC endorses Amy Klobuchar for Governor in the Mid-Term Election. Klobuchar is a great candidate who has fought for Minnesotans for four terms as U.S. Senator and would continue to do so as Governor. If elected, Klobuchar would be the first female governor for the state of Minnesota.
Klobuchar has said that, as Governor, she would “work to lower costs that have been going through the roof across the country.” She has supported lowering health care costs and protecting access to health care, especially given Republican cuts to the ACA in their Big Ugly Bill. She has a plan to address the high cost of housing, and has vowed to stand up against illegal tariffs, including those Trump imposed against Canada which have raised costs in housing and every area of Minnesotans’ lives.
In addition, Klobuchar praised Minnesota’s response to ICE during Operation Metro Surge, suggesting that resistance has made Minnesota a “beacon of hope” to the rest of the country.
ITC endorses Klobuchar as the candidate in the race for Governor who will stand up for Minnesota in these trying times. She is the Governor that Minnesota deserves.

With the Mid-Terms nearing, Minnesotans must decide whom to elect for State Auditor. Based on an examination of his background and proposals, ITC endorses Zack Filipovich for election to this position.
Zack Filipovich is the only accountant in this race, which means he has the credentials to best serve Minnesota as State Auditor. The State Auditor supervises and audits the finances of Minnesota’s 4,500 local governmental entities, from cities to counties to school districts. Filipovich is a Certified Management Accountant with the expertise needed to review local services, issue financial reports, and investigate waste or abuse of local funds or services. He also served in local government himself for eight years as the youngest person ever elected to the Duluth City Council, and then in the finance department of the Western Lake Superior Sanitary District - so he understands the strain local governments and their constituents face in these trying times.
Filipovich recognized that Minnesotans are experiencing an affordability crisis, due in large part to Trump’s illegal tariffs. He pledges that as State Auditor, he will verify and ensure that local governmental units make the most efficient use of taxpayer dollars to lessen the burden that high costs pose to Minnesotans.
ITC endorses Zack Filipovich as the most qualified and dedicated candidate to serve Minnesota as State Auditor.
Amendment Endorsement
Indivisible Twin Cities endorses the Permanent School Fund Distribution amendment to the state constitution, which was passed unanimously by the state legislature this spring. Our schools badly need additional funding. This amendment would send thousands of additional dollars to every school district in the state without raising any taxes. The fund, established in 1858, is now worth $2.3 billion and yet distributions to our schools remains limited by the current formula. The amendment would reformulated how the money is distributed to provide our schools much-needed relief. Vote Yes for the constitutional amendment.
