4th Amendment Campaign Against Target

4th Amendment Campaign Against Target

CTA Name: 4th Amendment Campaign Against Target

Date of Action Hour: 01.13.2026

Explainer (describe the issue)

Asking people to organize 5 people to visit Targets around the area with the requested action below.   They are encouraging people to organize and show up as residents of the community rather than identifying yourself in association with any organization - more impactful.     We are working to coordinate this so that people are showing up at noon tomorrow with these requests.

Demand Target Commit to be a 4th Amendment Workplace

Starting on 12pm on Monday January 12th we are asking people to show up with a couple of people to your local Target store to ask to speak to the store manager and make the following demands:

Download and print out signs at the end of this document stating that ICE is not welcome and what rights businesses have under the 4th amendment. Go to your local Target with a copy.

When visiting a local Target store, ask to speak with the manager, and share the following asks and hand them the 4th amendment workplace sign

1.    Target must become a 4th amendment workplace, prohibiting immigration enforcement from entering private spaces without a warrant signed by a judge

2.    Target should train all employees about how to respond if immigration enforcement tries to enter their stores

3.    Target Corporation should issue a public call for ICE to leave Minnesota and for Congress to hold ICE accountable and stop funding ICE.

QUICK UPDATE:   HERE IS A LINK TO THE COMMUNITY LETTER THAT FOLKS CAN USE IF THEY ARE COORDINATING A VISIT.  WE ENCOURAGE THOSE WHO GO TO SIGN AS COMMUNITY MEMBERS.

Please note that the campaign on Target to become a 4th Amendment employer is growing.  Last night Training took place and approximately 40% of Targets across the state were "claimed" by people on the call willing to organize a visit to their local community Target.

IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN JOINING A TRAINING CALL, one is happening tomorrow morning from 10:15 - 11:45.   You can register here.   on Wednesday.  More actions are being planned.   Everyone who is interested is welcome to join the call.   Please feel free to share with trusted individuals rather than on social media.

Note:  the form may pre populate with my info, since I already registered.  Obviously clear that out and submit your own info:)

Demand your Senator Vote to Stop Trump’s war on Venezuela

Demand your Senator Vote to Stop Trump’s war on Venezuela

CTA Name:  Demand your Senator Vote to Stop Trump’s war on Venezuela and contact members of congress demanding action to stop Trump’s war of aggression

Date of Action Hour: 1/13/26

Explainer (describe the issue)

Call to Action (what specific action are we taking):

1          Call or Email Members of Congress

            2          Call your Senator

Last week, the Senate advanced a War Powers Resolution to pump the brakes on Trump’s war with Venezuela. Soon that resolution will come up for a final vote in the Senate. Let’s make sure it passes. . Five Republicans (Paul, Murkowski, Collins, Hawley, and Young) defied Trump and voted with every Democrat to move the bill forward. It’s reported that Trump is calling each of them directly to express his fury, so we need to keep the pressure up ahead of the final vote

https://indivisible.org/resource/call-now-demand-your-senators-stop-trumps-war-venezuela

Next, send an email to all your Members of Congress demanding action to stop Trump’s war of aggression. We have to make sure our opposition to Trump's global gangsterism is loud, constant, and everywhere.

We need Congress to check this regime’s lawless violence, or there’s no telling where this will end. The Constitution states clearly that war powers belong to Congress—not the White House.

Every Member of Congress must do everything in their power to stand up to Trump and prevent war with Venezuela.

Sample script or email for Senate:

Hi, my name is [Your Name], and I’m a constituent from [Your City, State].

I’m outraged that the Trump administration is pushing us into war with Venezuela. They’ve escalated military pressure and taken over Venezuela without a clear plan for transitioning power. All without authorization from Congress.

Your constituents do not want another endless war. We do not want more violence where US servicemembers and civilians are put in danger, just to serve Trump and his Big Oil cronies.

Congress has the duty to reassert its war powers. I urge Representative [Name] to vote for the War Powers Resolution to say NO to war. We’re counting on you to stand up to Trump and put a check on his power grab immediately.

The email to your Members of Congress:

As your constituent, I am outraged that the Trump administration is usurping Congressional authority to push us into war with Venezuela. They are rapidly escalating military pressure and have now taken over Venezuela without a clear plan for transitioning power. All without authorization from Congress.

Your constituents do not want another endless war. We do not want more violence where US servicemembers and civilians are put in danger, just to serve Trump and his Big Oil cronies.

Congress must reassert its war powers. We’re counting on you and your congressional colleagues to stand up to Trump and put a check on his power grab immediately.

Thank you.

Congress should demand a Full Investigation Into Hegseth’s Extrajudicial Killings

Congress should demand a Full Investigation Into Hegseth’s Extrajudicial Killings

Congress should demand a Full Investigation Into Hegseth’s Extrajudicial Killings

Date:  December 9, 2025

What Happened:

Science September 2025, Over the last few months, the Trump regime has orchestrated at least 21 bombings of small boats in the Caribbean and Pacific that it claims are trafficking drugs bound for the US. They’ve provided no legal justification for these bombings, which have now killed at least 83 people in total.

From Britannica:

“Former State Department legal adviser John Bellinger told Time magazine that the logic underpinning the strikes as “dangerous,” arguing that the targeted groups were “not engaged in an armed conflict with the United States and their members are not combatants.” Meanwhile, law professor Rebecca Ingber also told Time that the normalization of maritime lethal strikes “[erodes] the rule that is the backbone of the modern international law system that states may not use force except in the most narrow exceptional circumstances.”

Amnesty International has called these killings murder.

In at least one of these strikes, Hegseth ordered troops to leave no survivors. Compliance with this order required a special operations commander to launch a second strike on two civilians who survived the initial attack. This command, known as a “no quarter order,” likely constitutes a war crime.

However, the civilians on those boats were not engaged in any armed conflict with the United States. They posed no imminent threat. As former military lawyer Todd Huntley put it, because there is no legitimate war between the U.S. and these alleged traffickers, killing them literally amounts to murder.

The Trump administration has presented no evidence that the boats were indeed carrying drugs destined for the United States.

If Congress does not put a check on this regime’s lawless violence, there’s no telling where this will end. Hegseth could label anyone a legitimate target and order the military to carry out strikes without legal justification or even evidence of wrongdoing.

Every Senator, especially those on the Senate Armed Services committee, must demand an immediate, public investigation into these killings and the orders behind them.

Call to Action:

Ask Senators Klobuchar and Smith and your congressional representative to demand a full investigation into the extrajudicial killings (aka illegal killings) ordered by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.

Hi, my name is [Your Name], and I’m a constituent from [Your City, State]. Optional:  I am a member of Indivisible Twin Cities.

Include a sentence or two about why the actions in the Caribbean and Pacific trouble you.

I urge Representative [Name] to demand an immediate, public investigation into the extrajudicial killings ordered by Secretary Pete Hegseth. He issued what amounts to a “no quarter” order, telling agents to “kill them all” and authorizing a strike on a small boat with no warning, no legal basis, and no evidence of a threat. This is illegal under U.S. and international law. Congress cannot ignore this.

Justice for Renee Good

Justice for Renee Good

CTA Name:   Justice for Renee Good

Date of Action Hour: Jan. 13, 2026

Explainer

People all over the world are aware of what happened the morning of January 7th in Minneapolis.  A 37-year-old mother and wife was murdered at point-blank range by an ICE agent.  The murder and events afterward are well known to all of us.

The administration began an immediate campaign to paint Renee as a domestic terrorist bent on killing ICE agents.  They have spread this lie repeatedly and with more force with each passing day.

Anyone with eyes knows they are lying, as they always do when law enforcement kills one of us.

Immediately after the murder it was reported that the FBI would handle the investigation working alongside local and state law enforcement, which is standard in cases such as this.

Not 24 hours later, that was reversed and we learned that the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Hennepin County Attorney and the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office had been removed from the investigation and would have no access to any of the evidence.

We all know what this is.  A blatant cover-up.  The FBI and DOJ will bury the evidence, claim self-defense and Renee Good’s family will get no closure and no justice for the loss of their loved one.  And our community will be harmed by the increasing distrust of the federal government.

This is unacceptable.

Call to Action:

We will contact multiple people and agencies to call for the immediate inclusion of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Hennepin County Attorney and the Minnesota Attorney General’s office in the investigation into the death of Renee Nicole Good including access to all evidence.

FBI Director Kash Patel:

Washington, DC 20535-001

Sample Script:

My name is xxx and I live in xxx.

The death of Minneapolis resident Renee Nicole Good during an interaction with ICE agents on January 7, 2026 must be investigated in a completely transparent way ensuring that the facts of the case lead to the truth and justice.

The only way for that to occur is to include local and state authorities to work with the FBI as they review the evidence of the case.

I am contacting you to ask that the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Hennepin County Attorney and the Minnesota Attorney General's Office are brought back into the investigation of the death of Renee Nicole Good following standard practice for cases where both the state and the federal government have jurisdiction.

Transparency in this case is paramount to make sure justice is served for all of those involved, their families and the community.

ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA!

ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA!

CTA Name: ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA!

Date of Action Hour: 01.13.2026

Explainer (describe the issue):

The murder of Renee Good was a horrific day for our state, community and residents.   The loss of life that happened was the result of the reckless and unfettered use of military force against our own citizens.   There is enough video to support that the agent was not under threat of imminent harm and yet made the decision to shoot Renee Good and kill her.

The actions of ICE are not only unacceptable, they are dangerous.  The chaos they initiate CREATES dangerous situations rather than their claims of acting to ensure safety.

January 7, an ICE agent shot and killed a legal observer in Minneapolis. It was only the first full day of what the Department of Homeland Security proclaimed is the largest operation in the department’s history, surging more than 2,000 federal law enforcement officers to the Twin Cities for immigration enforcement.

They have killed a US citizen, and they are terrorizing our immigrant neighbors and anyone who looks Black and Brown. We must be clear: ICE’s attacks on our communities are motivated by hatred and fueled by violence and incompetence, and the outcome is predictable and horrifying.

We must speak out together, and demand ICE out of Minnesota now. The federal agent in question should be arrested, charged, and prosecuted. We must call on congress to demand a cease of ICE’s operations until an investigation into this incident is completed. People are being killed. Enough is enough. Our communities cannot wait for action.

Call to Action (what specific action are we taking):

We encourage you to call every one of your elected officials at all levels of government. No one gets by with the excuse that they aren’t in charge of ICE, we expect everyone in any level of leadership to speak up publicly and demand three things from Congress:

1.    Get ICE out of MN

2.    Demand the FBI share evidence with the BCA (Minnesota law enforcement) so Minnesota can conduct a fair investigation of the agent responsible and hold him accountable

3.    Congress needs to step in, investigate ICE, and hold this Administration accountable for federal overreach.

Who should I call?

  • Visit https://gis.lcc.mn.gov/iMaps/districts/ or search “Who Represents Me?” then enter your address. It will tell you your federal and state legislators and provide links to their contact information.

  • Please call your US Representative as top priority, then our US Senators Tina Smith and Amy Klobuchar. Ask them to organize their colleagues to end this.

  • Next, call your MN Senator and MN Representative. Ask them to put out a public statement if they haven’t already, repeating our 3 demands. Ask them to call US Congress Members from MN to make these demands directly.

  • Search for your County Commissioner, County Sheriff, Mayor, City Council Member(s), and School Board Member(s) as well. These can be found on your county’s, city’s, and school district’s websites. Again, ask that they put out a public statement repeating our demands and contact US Congress Members to make the same requests.

Sample Script (voice or email):

Hi this is (your name) and I’m a constituent from (your city). I am horrified by ICE’s actions in our community and state as they terrorize our neighbors who are immigrants or who look Black or Brown. Now they’ve shot and killed a legal observer who posed no threat. I feel unsafe having ICE in our community and am calling on you in your leadership role to speak up to Congress on our behalf. I’m asking that you put out a public statement AND contact Minnesota’s federal legislators asking for three things:

4.    Support Senator Chris Murphy’s proposed legislation to require agents to have warrants for arrests, ban them from wearing masks during enforcement operations, limit the use of guns by ICE during civil actions, and restrict the Border Patrol to the border.

A number of elected officials have already spoken up asking for these demands and I hope and expect you will join them in demanding action from Congress. Thank you!

(If you’d like to leave your number for a call back, you can, especially with local elected officials)

Next Steps (what you can do after Action Hour)

  • Pass on this script to 5 friends & neighbors and invite them to make calls as well. You can share this link: bit.ly/ICECallScript

  • Share a post on social media and/or write a letter to the editor in your local paper. Repeat these 3 demands and call on elected officials to speak up with us in this moment. Add in a statement about how Minnesotans love our neighbors and stand together in the face of hatred and violence.

    • If you follow elected officials on social media and see them release a statement like we’re asking, be sure to like it, share it, and comment thanking them for speaking up!

  • Look on your County and/or City websites for the next board/council meeting and whether they take public comments. Show up with a few neighbors and make these same demands in that public meeting.
